Most Chinese are superstitious. They will try to avoid these numbers: 4, 13, 22, 44 in most circumstances. Why?
“4″ (四) is pronounced “si” which has the same sound as “Dead/th” (死).
“22″ is sometimes considered as “4″ equals to “2+2“.
“44″ is double “4″ which is double the “bad luck” generated by the number “4″.
